NHS England on Friday 28th August have released detailed directions on implementing the 2020-2021 Season Flu Vaccination Service across Community Pharmacy, which is due to commence on Tuesday 1st September 2020.
Across both Wellway and Central Pharmacies, we are now working hard to digest this information, and to subsequently implement an effective and safe plan on delivering the 2020 Flu Vaccination service to our patients.
We cannot yet give further details on the running of this service, or on how it will be fully implemented with Social Distancing and patient and staff safety at the heart of its delivery. Further details will be published in due course — we will endeavour to keep all patients informed as much possible through our website, emails, social media channels, and within our pharmacies.
If you do have any further queries or questions surrounding the implementation of this service at this stage, then don't hesitate to contact us at contact@wellwaycentral.co.uk, or through other methods.
Influenza Vaccinations may be more important this year than ever before — and Community Pharmacy is at the forefront of this.
We are still working on and finalising our plans for the implementation of our Community Pharmacy Flu Vaccination service for this Autumn and Winter. This will be available through our pharmacies for free to all those eligible for an NHS Flu Vaccination (including possibly later in the season those aged 50-64), and also at a cost for those wishing to receive a private flu vaccination.
The eligibility criteria for a Free NHS Flu Vaccination are currently as follows:
We'll be in contact and publish guidance and booking forms as soon as our plans are finalised — your patience is greatly appreciated. If you ever have any queries about our Flu Vaccination service in the meantime, don't hesitate to contact us at contact@wellwaycentral.co.uk.
