The national lockdown restrictions ended at midnight on Wednesday 2nd December 2020.

These have now been replaced with the tier system. Northumberland along with other North East areas is under Tier 3 — Very High Alert restrictions.

We're open as usual throughout the national lockdown

New national lockdown restrictions have been introduced for England today (5th November 2020), extending through to the 2nd December 2020. Our pharmacies remain open as usual, as our key workers tirelessly assist our patients throughout the current pandemic. For a full summary of all of our COVID-19 precautions, our FAQs, and for further ways we can assist you through these challenging times, please view our coronavirus updates page as linked below.

We will continue to be limiting the number of people permitted within our pharmacies at one time, for the safety of our patients and staff members. We'd like to thank all of our communities for their support of our pharmacy teams, a bastion of local, independent community pharmacy. We apologise for any potential delays or inconveniences experienced due to the precautions we have in place  we are often working with reduced staffing levels to ensure the safety of our pharmacy teams, and some members of our teams may be periodically required to self-isolate. We're working hard to minimise delays and ensure a continued fast and efficient service.

Flu Vaccinations Update

Our 2020 Flu Vaccination Service is currently proceeding as planned, with many safety precautions in place to ensure our staff and patients are fully secure when receiving or administering vaccinations. Within the next week we should start to receive a supply of vaccines, and will then commence the process of administering these to those prioritised first.

Please note we are required to administer vaccinations in a certain order as a part of our remit to provide the service  this will involve administering NHS Vaccinations first to those eligible. We will definitely be in touch when it's your turn to receive a vaccination — this may be a matter of weeks, however. We appreciate your continued understanding and patience.

Why do I need to wait for my flu vaccination? →

Note there has not yet been any further guidance on free NHS vaccinations for those aged between 50-64, and like all community pharmacy providers we currently cannot offer these vaccinations. This will be announced at a later date, depending on vaccination stocks.

Resumption of the Pandemic Delivery Service

HM Government alongside the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has decided to resume the pandemic delivery service through community pharmacies for those identified as clinically extremely vulnerable of COVID-19 during this new national lockdown period.

Those eligible to once again utilise the pandemic delivery service, whereby your medicines will be delivered to you by our pharmacy delivery service completely free of charge throughout the national lockdown period, will be contacted with a letter in the post from the Government to alert them to their eligibility. Please follow the instructions in this letter and contact us to re-join this service.

If you're concerned about social distancing or keeping yourself safe when visiting us, but are not eligible for this service, then please be reassured we have a number of safety measures in place across our sites for your protection. We also offer our 24-hour prescription collection service currently at our Morpeth site, which reduces contact with others to zero, and avoids queues. If you're still concerned about the measures we have in place, or would like further support or guidance, don't hesitate to contact us and we'll do our best to assist you further.

The new national lockdown restrictions require those in England to stay at home wherever possible, with certain exemptions (e.g. education, work (if not possible from home), medical reasons).
