Nominating our Pharmacy: key things to know.

You don’t have to nominate a pharmacy in order to receive your prescriptions.
You can still receive your prescriptions from your GP and ask them to be sent to a specific pharmacy each time.
If you nominate a pharmacy, your prescriptions will be sent to them electronically for dispensing, automatically when signed by the prescriber. There’s no need to pick up a paper copy from your GP.
Unless you specifically request a paper prescription, or the item prescribed can only go on paper.
You are free to choose any pharmacy (or none at all) as your nominated dispenser, regardless of location.
You can set, change, or remove your nomination at any time. You don’t need a computer system to change your nomination, or use the electronic prescription service.
Changing nominations can be done via the NHS App, by contacting any pharmacy, or by contacting your GP practice.
