Located in the towns of Morpeth, Ashington, and Pegswood Village in picturesque Northumberland, in the North East of England, all of our three pharmacies have been operating in their respective communities for over a decade — and in providing key pharmacy services to our region, we've built a strong and close relationship with our wider area. We're well respected within our communities for our continued focus on patient care, with our close working relationship with neighbouring General Practices at all three of our sites (Wellway Medical and Lintonville Medical) enhancing this cornerstone of our values.
Our pharmacies are owned and directed by a group of local Pharmacists and General Practitioners. We have strong foundations within our region and with the pharmacy services we provide to it. Our local and independent approach to your healthcare allows us to provide friendly, personal and tailored services and care to our patients and region, and to re-invest in our towns and localities and in our staff; training and employing local healthcare professionals. Community Pharmacy continues to provide significant value to the country today, and significant benefit to our patients with our friendly nature and wide range of advice and services we offer.
We're always here for you — our pharmacies are best placed to help you with your healthcare, or if you need specific advice about an ailment or illness, or on how to ensure the efectiveness of your medicines. To enhance the care we can provide to you, we offer a wide range of pharmacy services — many without a cost to our patients, to improve community health, and ensure the wellbeing of our patients. Our services that we can offer across our three sites include enchanced services such as the Community Pharmacy Consultation Scheme, Supervised Consumption Services, Medicines Use Reviews, New Medicines Service Advice and Support, Stop Smoking Service, and we also offer a Flu Vaccination service. This is in addition to some of our innovative and even exclusive services we offer our pharmacy patients as detailed below.
One of our aims within our pharmacies is to provide you with easy and swift access to the healthcare you require — whether this be accessing your medicines, being able to speak to one of our highly trained staff members for further advice, or utilising one of our many services. We fulfill this aim with a range of services and policies, including being open for long hours at our pharmacy sites, and offering services such as a free home delivery service for those who are housebound, and an exclusive 24-hour prescription collection service for all patients at our Morpeth site. With this collection service, patients are granted ultimate flexibility over accessing their medicines — they can obtain them whenever they'd like — 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This innovative service alerts patients to their prescription being ready to collect via text message, and their medicines are stored securely in our automated 24-hour collection point ready for them to pick up. Our innovation doesn't end there — with our online services such as our Online Medicines Compendium and Online Health Advice enhancing and expanding every day, and many more exciting innovations and services being made available to our patients online in coming months.
We're committed to the health of not only our patients, but our towns, villages and wider regions within our locality. We're here for you to offer free, confidential and professional advice on ailments, healthy living, stopping smoking, travel advice, and much, much more. We've been established for over a decade at each of our sites, and our pharmacists and staff are highly trained and knowledgeable in their roles, to help us help you.
Our Wellway Pharmacies, located in Morpeth and Pegswood respectively, have been awarded 'Healthy Living Pharmacy' status — which demonstrates our commitment to your health and wellbeing, and in offering advice and support to help you stay happy and healthy. All of our pharmacies run many healthy living campaigns and raise awareness of various health conditions and wellbeing initiatives throughout the year to help support our communities in leading healthier lives.
