What Reproductive Health Services do you provide?

We offer a range of Reproductive Health services. Free services include the NHS Pharmacy Contraception Service for Oral Contraceptive Pill supply and reviews, and the Emergency Hormonal Contraception Service, available without an appointment. We also offer free Gonorrhoea and Chlamydia testing kits, and free Condoms through the C-Card service, for those aged 15 to 24 years, at selected pharmacies.

Our Ashington Pharmacy also offers a Private Period Delay Service – allowing you to delay menstruation ahead of a big life event, holiday, or other occasion, at affordable prices.

Can I get Emergency Contraception at your Pharmacy?

Yes, we provide emergency contraception (morning after pill) without the need for a GP appointment. It’s available quickly, discreetly, and often free depending on eligibility. You can book online, or just pop-in to our pharmacies, and our caring team will be on hand to help.

Do I need an appointment for Reproductive Health Services?

Are consultations private and confidential?

All consultations are private and confidential, in our comfortable consulting rooms. We will always ask permission or inform you if we need to share information – for example with your GP.

Do you provide contraceptive pill advice or supply?

Yes, we can provide advice on various contraceptive options and can supply you with the Oral Contraceptive Pill, if eligible, through the NHS Pill Initiation and Reviews service.

Do you provide STI test kits?

We can provide Gonorrhoea and Chlamydia Home Test Kits to people aged 15 to 24 years. Just ask for a ‘screening kit’ at any of our pharmacies.

Can I get a pregnancy test at your pharmacies?

Yes – we stock and sell Pregnancy Tests at all of our pharmacies, and can sometimes provide Pregnancy Tests for free with our Emergency Hormonal Contraception Service, if eligible.
