Ear Health Check
We use a high-definition digital otoscope and recording device to visualise your ear canal and eardrum, to confirm the presence of wax and check your overall ear health.
Ear Wax Microsuction
Our specially trained Pharmacists and Technicians can use microsuction to remove wax, if indicated, using our digital equipment for clear and safe care.

‘Hi! My name is Emily. I am a qualified ear care practitioner and Pharmacy Technician. I have completed a course with TympaHealth alongside our Pharmacist Sunny, which is accredited by The British Society of Audiology (BSA) and The British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (BSHAA). As an Accredited Tympa User I am qualified to perform otoscopy and microsuction wax removal on patients over 18 years of age.’
Specialist Support.
The Tympa Platform we use is supported by a Remote Review feature which enables us to send images and videos from examinations securely to Tympa’s team of audiologists and ENT specialists for advice and guidance, when needed. This means that you’re fully supported by experts, ensuring you get the right treatment quickly.
Pricing
Ear Health Check: £10.00
Includes digital otoscopy and images of your ear canal. Also the consultation cost if you attend for ear wax removal, and we don’t find any wax.
Ear Wax Removal:
£50.00 for both ears
£40.00 for one ear
Price per session of earwax removal, including the ear health check as part of the service.
Eligibility for our Service
General eligibility criteria are outlined below, which will be checked alongside other factors before proceeding with any investigations or treatment – this isn’t an exhaustive list. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to give us a call or get in touch.
- Patients must be aged 18 or over
- Patients must not have any of the following:
- perforated eardrum;
- active ear infection (e.g. discharge, severe pain, fever);
- ongoing or recent ENT surgery;
- foreign bodies in the ear canal;
- suspected cholesteatoma;
- known or suspected ear trauma.
