3. Receive your Vaccination

Who should consider Private COVID-19 Vaccination?

What Vaccine are you using?

We are using the Comirnaty LP 8.1 Vaccine for our private clinics.

The Comirnaty LP 8.1 vaccine is an updated, variant-adapted mRNA vaccine from Pfizer/BioNTech. It is specifically designed to target the LP. 8.1 strain, which is one of the most prevalent strains circulating in the UK, offering stronger and more targeted protection than older vaccine formulations.

Is this the same as the NHS Vaccine?

No. The NHS vaccination programme for autumn/winter 2025 is offered free to specific high-risk groups based on the advice of the JCVI. Our service is a private vaccination service using the latest available formulation, for which a fee applies.

Who can get a private COVID Vaccination with us?

We can provide Private COVID vaccinations to anyone who:

  • Is aged 12 years and over
  • Is not otherwise eligible for an NHS COVID Vaccination (we can provide these too – find out more here).
  • Hasn’t already received a COVID Vaccination this season.

Can I get vaccinated if I’ve recently had COVID or been vaccinated?

We recommend waiting until you have fully recovered from a COVID-19 infection (usually 2–4 weeks). You should also typically wait at least 3 months since your last COVID-19 vaccination. Our pharmacist will confirm the ideal timing during your consultation.

Who can get an NHS COVID Vaccination?

NHS COVID Vaccination is available for Autumn / Winter for the following age groups:

  • People aged 75 or over by 31st January 2026
  • People aged 6 months to 74 years and have a weakened immune system because of a health condition or treatment
  • People who live in a care home for older adults

How much does a Private COVID Vaccination cost?

We offer a competitive price for Private COVID Vaccination. Our current prices are as follows:

  • £85.00 for 1 dose of Comirnaty LP 8.1 (Pfizer COVID Vaccine)
  • £100.00 for Private COVID & Flu Vaccination at the same appointment

The price for COVID and Flu Vaccination may change year-on-year to reflect changes to vaccines, medicine and staffing costs.

What are the common side effects?

Side effects are generally mild and temporary, similar to previous COVID-19 vaccines or the flu jab. They can include pain or soreness at the injection site, headache, fatigue, or mild fever. Our pharmacist will discuss these fully before your dose.
