How it all works
It’s simple and quick to receive the best possible protection from Winter Viruses with us, in a matter of minutes, without an appointment. Find out more information on the process and eligibility requirements below.
Visit our walk-in vaccinaton webpage to check we’re offering walk-in vaccinations at your desired pharmacy. You can always call us to check vaccines are available prior to attending.
Where displayed, you can walk-in at any point during our walk-in clinics and receive your NHS Flu vaccination. Waiting times will vary depending on demand, and your vaccination will be fitted in around booked appointments – but generally we wouldn’t expect you to be waiting longer than 10 minutes.
Subject to eligibility, stock, and our pharmacist’s clinical judgement, we can safely provide your free NHS vaccinations in a matter of minutes. You will then be able to leave the pharmacy, unless it is clinically required to keep you for observation for 15-30 minutes. Your vaccine information will be automatically sent to your GP Surgery, and will be visible in your NHS App within 24 hours.

Eligibility for Autumn 2024 COVID & Flu Vaccination
Eligibility requirements for free NHS Autumn COVID and Flu Vaccinations are as follows for the 2024 campaign. We can only accept bookings and provide vaccinations for patients in these cohorts:
– patients aged 65 years old or over (and those aged 64 and turning 65 years by 31 March 2025);
– patients living in a care home for older adults;
– people who are pregnant;
– patients aged 6 months to 64 years in a clinical risk group (see below);
-frontline NHS and social care workers, and those working in care homes for older people*
Our vaccination sites can only vaccinate patients aged 18 or over. Please see the age ranges stipulated for each clinic.
*We are able to provide NHS COVID-19 vaccination to all frontline health and social care workers, however we are only able to provide NHS Flu vaccinations to social care staff who do not have a workplace occupational health scheme. All frontline NHS staff, and social care staff with an occupational health department, should seek their Flu vaccinations through their employer.
Those in a clinical risk group
Patients aged 16 or over who have the following medical conditions may be eligible for COVID-19 and Flu Vaccination in Autumn/Winter 2024:
– chronic respiratory illnesses;
– chronic heart disease and valvular disease;
– chronic kidney disease;
– chronic liver disease;
– chronic neurological disease;
– diabetes mellitus, and other endocrine disorders;
– immunosuppression;
– asplenia or dysfunction of the spleen;
– morbid obesity;
– severe mental illness;
– younger adults in long-stay nursing and residential care settings;
– pregnancy (all stages).
Alternative eligiblity requirements apply for those aged under 16, however are not discussed here as we do not vaccinate these age groups. Visit the COVID-19 chapter of the green book on GOV.UK for more information.
According to the NHS website, you may have a weakened immune system (be immunosuppressed) due to a health condition, treatment or medicine, including if you:
– have ever had a blood cancer, such as leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma
– have had an organ, bone marrow or stem cell transplant
– have HIV (at any stage)
– have a genetic disorder affecting your immune system
– have certain medical treatments, such as steroid medicine (depending on your dose), certain antibody therapies, chemotherapy or radiotherapy (including those whose treatment ended up to 6 months ago)
– take certain medicines that increase your risk of infection, such as azathioprine, dexamethasone, prednisolone, ciclosporin or mycophenolate (depending on your dose)
– take long-term immunosuppressive treatment for conditions such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, scleroderma and psoriasis.
If you are unsure, please speak to your pharmacist, GP or specialist for advice. You can also confirm your eligibility with the healthcare professional at your vaccination appointment.

Receiving COVID and Flu Vaccinations at the Same Appointment
Receiving Flu and COVID vaccinations at the same appointment has proven to be safe, effective, and efficient. Usually, we’ll administer one vaccine in each arm, after making sure you are eligible, and suitable to receive vaccination. If you have any questions about receiving two vaccinations at the same time, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Bookings for Autumn & Winter COVID-19 and Flu Vaccinations have now closed. You can still walk-in to our sites during clinic times to receive your Flu vaccinations, subject to availability, eligibility, and pharmacist assessment.

Age Limitations at our Sites
Our clinics are at present only able to those aged 18 or over. Eligible patients under 18 may attend other sites (which can be found via the NHS website), or receive their vaccination via a participating GP surgery.
