Our friendly and professional teams of staff are here to help you and your healthcare. Whether you're collecting a prescription, need some medical advice on an ailment, or are using one of our many services we provide, rest assured we're here for you and open for long hours to provide greater flexibility to you when accessing medicines.
Our Central Pharmacy site in Ashington is open extended hours, totalling 100 hours per week, with early morning and late night openings six days per week. This provides patients at this site with greater flexibility with accessing their medicines, and also allows patients to attend the pharmacy at less busier times if they wish.
Wellway Pharmacy Morpeth is open six times a week, including Saturdays, and Wellway Pharmacy Pegswood is open five days a week, being close to local amenities and right in the centre of Pegswood to allow patients easy access.
Our 24-hour prescription collection service at our Wellway Pharmacy Morpeth site provides ultimate flexibility to patients who need to collect prescriptions. This exclusive service is one of the first of its kind in the North East of England, demonstrating our commitment to innovation and helping you easily access your medicines when it suits you.
This service allows our patients to collect their prescriptions day or night, seven days a week, for the full 365 days of the year, and is free to use. Simply receive an SMS text message when your prescription is ready, enter the code in the message at our collection point, easily pay for your prescription if required, and collect your medicines from the hatch once released to you.
Joining the service is quick and easy, and you can register online. Follow the link below for further information and to join the service if desired.
Our friendly delivery drivers can deliver prescriptions no matter the weather, to those who are housebound, who need it the most for our pharmacy patients. Our service operates on over our entire pharmacy service areas at all of our sites, and even further afield, and is of no additional cost to our patients. One of our drivers has even won 'Pharmacy Delivery Driver of the Year' for 2019 in the North of Tyne Local Pharmaceutical Council Awards for his excellence in prioritising the healthcare and wellbeing of our patients.
To find out more about eligibility and registration, please contact us at our individual pharmacies where we can further assist you.
All of our pharmacy sites offer a range of services to grant you access to medicines when you need them. All of our pharmacies operate the 'Think Pharmacy First' scheme, which allows some patients who receive free prescriptions to access medicines for minor ailments at no cost, without a visit to a Doctor or Nurse.
If you've ever run out of your repeat prescription medicines, and have forgotten to order more, then you can benefit from our 'Emergency Supply of Medicines' scheme which we also operate at all of our sites. Simply contact us or visit the link below for further information.
