General Questions

When are your pharmacies open?

Our opening hours vary by location. You can find the specific times, including weekend and late-opening availability, on our Locations Page.

What should I do if your pharmacies are closed?

You can visit the NHS Website to find a pharmacy open now.

If you require urgent medical support while we are closed, please dial 111 or visit 111.nhs.uk. In a life-threatening medical emergency, always call 999.

How can I make a complaint?

We always strive to deliver the best possible service, and we safely take care of thousands of patients every month. We’re really sorry if you’ve experienced any difficulties with us.

Please review our complaints procedure and reach out to us. We’ll work hard to put things right, and provide a formal response.

Do you have private consultation rooms?

Yes, all our pharmacies are equipped with private, comfortable consultation rooms where you can speak with our pharmacists in total confidence.

What are your Sustainability Credentials?

We’re really passionate about the environment. We take a lot of measures to minimise our impact:

  • We use electric zero-emission delivery vans for our prescription deliveries;
  • We use paperless prescriptions for over 80% of our dispensing, allowing us to massively cut our paper usage;
  • We operate a PenCycle recycling scheme at all our pharmacies for Novo Nordisk injecting pens;
  • We recycle all of our cardboard and non-confidential paper waste.

We know there’s even further to go. Find out more about our sustainability work on our webpage.

Can I leave feedback about my visit?

Absolutely. We hugely value your input. You can leave feedback on your pharmacy visit on the feedback webpage.

Prescription Questions

How long does it take for my prescription to be ready?

Typically, it takes 72 hours from the time you request your medication from your GP. This allows time for the surgery to authorize the request and for our team to safely dispense your medication.

Your GP usually responds to prescription requests within 2 working days. We can then usually source, check and dispense your prescription within 1 working day. That means if you request your prescription on a Monday, it should be ready to pick up from Thursday.

Please note this is an estimate only. If you are prescribed specialist items, medicines we do not usually stock, or out of stock medicines, it may take longer to prepare your prescription. You can always call us to check on the progress.

Do you offer prescription delivery?

Yes, all our pharmacies offer free prescription delivery to the local area using our eco-friendly electric delivery vans.

You can sign up online in a matter of minutes. Visit our delivery page to find out more.

Can someone else collect my medication for me?

Yes, a representative can collect on your behalf. They must provide your full name and address. For certain controlled medications, they may be asked to show valid ID.

Can I save money on prescriptions?

If you need to pay for your prescriptions, you might be able to save money with a prescription prepayment certificate – where prepayment will cover all prescription costs in a set period. Find out more on our prescriptions page.

Can I collect my prescriptions 24/7?

Yes! Our Morpeth site features an exclusive 24-hour collection point. Once your meds are ready, we text you a unique PIN to collect them from the secure external locker at any time.

Can I get texts when my prescription is ready?

Yes, we offer free text notifications when your prescription is ready. Sign up today on our webpage.

What can I do if I need my medicines urgently without a prescription?

In certain circumstances, our Pharmacists can provide a temporary supply of medicines without a prescription. You must have previously been prescribed the medication regularly, allow access to your summary care records, and it can’t be a controlled drug or antibiotic.

Supplies are at the discretion of the Pharmacist at all times. Visit our Emergency Supplies page to find out more.
